Products description
Discover a very rare and substantial fashion compendium with over 1,500 pages from the Victorian era (1864–1865): This volume brings together all issues of the series *“VICTORIA. Illustrated Pattern and Fashion Magazine”* published in Berlin during 1864 and 1865, beautifully bound in a magnificently designed book. The cloth cover is richly decorated with embossed ornaments, and the title *“VICTORIA”* is displayed in gold lettering on both the front cover and spine. The work features 45 hand-colored fashion engravings, all in good condition. All supplement sheets from the original issues are included—however, without cut-out patterns or templates. The binding shows age-related wear at the edges and corners, with some bumping. The spine has detached on the inside, but the individual magazines remain well connected and firmly held within the volume. The paper exhibits varying degrees of age-related darkening and light foxing. Dimensions: 27.5 x 37.5 cm. This unique collector’s item is perfect for enthusiasts of historical fashion who wish to own a piece of fashion history.
