Old basket Germany - end of the 19th century

Old basket with handles (Trachtenkorb) in a dark brown colour and with a lid to open; Germany - end of the 19th century. Century; very artistically woven basket in a tall and slender design; on the underside a woven pedestal for a better stand; the lid is no longer fixed and has a small missing part where the ring attachment was; the ring, however, is still present and still hangs on the handle; a fashionable accessory, goes with any dirndl and is a real eye-catcher; inside the wickerwork is still well preserved; signs of wear and tear (see photos); traces according to age and use; dimensions: ∅ top: approx. 32.5 x 46.5 cm - ∅ bottom: outside approx. 22 x 33 cm; ∅ bottom: inside approx. 16 x 26 cm - height with handle: approx. 45 cm - basket height: approx. 25.5 cm.
