Monastery Work PRAGER JESULEIN 1800 – 1850

Sacred Folk Art - Antique Monastery Work; Wax Figure "PRAGUE JESULEIN (Jesus Christ Child)". In a shrine glazed on three sides (display case, showcase, altar); 1800 - 1850 from the Alpine region; fine monastery work; wax head (Jesus) with long blond hair (mohair? ) and silver-gold crown; richly dressed in a white-gold dress (velvet cloak), lace, glass beads and knotted metal threads in gold, behind the crowned head a golden metal arch with velvet finish; the little Jesus stands in a round gabled house altar made of wood (gilding with red-brown grounding - metal leaf frame?); at the front two columns are indicated; an interesting sacral object; traces of use according to age; dimensions: approx. 24 x 17 x 11 cm
