Dress shirt buttons made of silver Austria-Hungary 1872 – 1902

A set of very rare dress shirt buttons made of silver and gold-plated; with original case made of brown leather (leather box), lined with blue velvet; Austria-Hungary 1872 – 1902; the box contains a total of 2 large buttons (presumably for the dress vest) and 2 small buttons for the shirt; the buttons are made of silver, the button plates are gold-plated and decorated with a checkerboard pattern and small floral lozenges, all buttons are hallmarked on the back: I AV (Austrian import mark 1872 – 1902); the buttons are used and have some small dents and slight bends from use; signs of wear; usage marks appropriate for their age; dimensions of the box: 11 x 4 x 3 cm / dimensions of large buttons: large plate ∅ 1.9 cm – small plate ∅ 1.3 cm / height: 0.5 cm / weight: 6.15 g.
