Small interesting photo album with old Sissi portrait on the cover (Empress Elisabeth - Elisabeth of Austria, Duchess in Bavaria- Sisi); the picture of the Empress is in a bad condition, but nevertheless the Empress is well recognisable and apparently a likeness from her younger years; the album comes from Salzburg from a middle-class household and is filled with photographs of the time; Many photographs come from Salzburg such as eb. "Jos. Pürstl" - Bischofshofen, "Raimund Ehrich" - Pongau, "Georg Pichler" - Hallein, "F. G. Rainer" - Reichenhall, "Theodor Kratzer" - Hallein, "Karl Frimmel" - itinerant photographer from Salzburg; "Josef Merzeder" - Kremsmünster; also pictures of famous photographers can be found in this album, e.g.: "Baldi & Würthle". Baldi & Würthle" (photo: woman in traditional costume with basket bag) from Salzburg, who exhibited his photos at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1867 and subsequently compiled a photo portfolio for Emperor Franz Joseph I.; or "Wilhelm Mann", also from Salzburg - was a supplier to the Imperial-Royal State Officials' Association. Staatsbeamten-Verband; a soldier's picture comes from the Salzburg photo studio "Carl Hintner & Sohn", also with good contacts to the imperial family; another interesting photo comes from the famous painter and photographer "Adolf Schwarz" from Vienna (man in traditional costume and gambrel hat); the album itself is in a moderate condition, paper and photos are partly foxed, a few photo frames partly torn; the album is filled with 24 photos; in the album there has been a business card of "Josefa Köfler" behind one photo, presumably the former owner; traces of use according to age (see photos); dimensions: ca. 17 x 21 cm
