A teaching model of a turbine from the 1950s, manufactured by the Austrian teaching aid institute Quirin Haslinger in Linz (Klosterstraße 6). This mechanical model was used in technical schools to demonstrate the functionality of hydropower. The housing is made of cast aluminum, while the turbine wheel is crafted from sturdy cast iron. The original red paint shows signs of wear, adding to its authentic vintage charm. A small manufacturer's plaque is affixed to the top. A water hose can be connected to the side to set the turbine in motion and generate electricity, while a dynamo can be mounted on the back for power utilization. A fascinating collector’s item for enthusiasts of historical technology and mechanical teaching aids.
