Medical curiosity - Antique human preparation (teaching aid / instructional tool) and inscribed- part of the columna vertebralis (spine); a real human, medically prepared vertebra bone (lumbar vertebra) with a small handwritten note "L03"; mounted on a black wooden base; this curious object has a beautiful dark patina and was once in use as a medical display object in a school or university; the bone probably around 1900 - the wooden base and mounting were made in the late 20th century. Great object for the cabinet of curiosities; the bone is still in excellent condition; traces according to age and use; dimensions height incl. base: approx. 15.8 cm
