Products description

Historic medical teaching skull from the private collection of a specialist physician (20th century). Dated and signed by the last owner on October 1, 1974. This is a human skull with a beautiful, slightly ivory-colored patina and a well-visible, clearly defined coronal suture (sutura coronalis). The cranial vault (calvaria) and the anterior cranial fossa (fossa cranii anterior) are precisely cut and can be removed and separated using metal hooks. The cranial cavity is clean and well-preserved. The lower jaw is spring-loaded, movable, and also removable. The dentition is incomplete, with three remaining teeth. A small cut scar on the skullcap, possibly from a minor injury (see photos). The skull can be disassembled into a total of four parts. Typical signs of use, as expected for a historic teaching aid, are present. Overall, the skull is in good condition. Dimensions: approx. 17 x 13,5 x 16 cm (LxWxH)
