Old research set for conducting scientific microscopy experiments with human and botanical specimens, Vienna – mid-20th century (1940–1960). The collection includes a Reichert pocket microscope (travel microscope, small microscope) with its original box, serial number 206 681, featuring objectives 2.5:1, 6.3:1, 10:1, and an additional 10x eyepiece. These devices were primarily used in universities. Additionally, the study collection contains 32 vintage microscopic specimens stored in four cardboard folders. The specimens originate from "Naturwissenschaftliche Lehrmittel Wien" and are all labeled by hand. Stains include Alizarin Blue and Alizarin Viridin, with embedding in Canada balsam. This collection holds historical and scientific value. The 32 glass slides are extensively labeled and feature a diverse range of specimens, including cerebrum and cerebellum, lung, kidney, vein, stomach, tongue, umbilical cord, large intestine, ovary, liver, artery, human trachea, orchid, poppy, flower calyx, and more. A remarkable collection of human anatomical microscopy. The specimens and microscope have not been tested (sold as found). Age-appropriate signs of use (see photos).
