Very rare and unusual pair of candlesticks (taxidermy candlesticks) with genuine eagle talons (eagle claws); 1910 - 1930 (Edwardian to Art Deco); large taxidermied bird's foot of an eagle with lower leg, metatarsus, toe bones and extended claws, mounted on an oval wooden base (oak? ) with felted base; on the lower leg of both objects the original feathers are still preserved, which makes the object extremely rare and the identification of the bird of prey easier "ANTIQUE SINGLE CRAFT"; screwed on the underside with an old slotted screw; the candlestick is professionally placed and mounted on the taxidermy, probably silver-plated with traces of patina - no hallmarks; these Wunderkammer objects are very rare and only a few objects of this kind are for sale; traces according to age and use; dimensions: total height approx. 32 cm; claws approx. 17 x 12 cm; foot height approx. 21 cm / total weight 1050 g
