Two antique terracotta tiles with two-tone color (blue, turquoise); Multan / Pakistan / Afghanistan 17th - 18th centuries; a flower in the center and at the corners; handwritten note on the back (see photos); on one tile the color is blurred before preservation, the other tile is in good condition; a few breakages along the edge; Multan is one of the oldest cities in southern Punjab and has been world famous for handmade blue ceramics since the Mughal era; the typical “Blue Pottery”, also known as “Kaashi Gari” fragments, were introduced in Multan centuries ago by artisans; measurements: approx. 15 x 15 cm (6x6 inches); traces of use according to age; one tile is broken in two and glued; Craquelée, damage and missing parts (see photos); provenance from the collection of the "Ethnos" gallery, owner of Noorsham (art shop in Ettlingen / Germany)
