Old African dagger West Africa - Hausa

Old African dagger (short sword), probably West Africa - Hausa; mid-20th century; double-edged and roughly worked blade; the wooden handle is covered with dark brown leather and laced; the leather scabbard has small "S" patterns embossed on one side; damage to the blade (see photos); the blade is quite sharp and the dagger appears somewhat worn; fine craftsmanship from Africa; traces of use according to age; overall dimensions of the dagger: approx. 41 cm - dimensions of the blade: approx. 29.5 cm
